The Senior Customer Operations & Revenue Data Analyst is a key role within the award winning (DataIQ – best place to work in data 2023) cinch Decision Intelligence function. The successful candidate will be responsible for building out our intelligence-led, data informed ethos across cinch. 

The role

  • Providing ‘best-in-class’ Data Analytics capabilities to cinch, supporting the following business areas; Consumer Lending; Ancillary Products; Customer Operations; Sales Operations, Transport / Customer Fulfilment.
  • Line management of a Deliveries and Fulfilment Data Analyst; helping to produce delivery insights to improve cost efficiencies and customer satisfaction.
  • Provide data driven recommendations on the routing of customer Finance applications to optimise revenue for cinch, whilst ensuring we follow compliance rules and recommendations to ensure fairness for our customers.
  • Provide analysis & recommendations to help drive consumer take-up of Value-Added Products. Surface data-backed pricing recommendations to ensure we are maximising profit and/or conversion of these products.
  • Creating pro-active data analysis, data modelling and discovery - with a keen focus on consumer lending and incremental revenue products/services to identify new opportunities to leverage the power of data, to unlock competitive advantage for cinch - whilst making recommendations from data.
  • Working with key stakeholders to prioritise their regular and ad-hoc reporting requirements for fortnightly sprints, ensuring these are delivered to specified requirements and within agreed timescales - ensuring the requestor(s) understands any limitations.
  • Ensuring business requirements are being captured via standard processes, e.g. business issue / opportunity identification, hypothesis definition, data extraction, analytics, reporting and action implementation.
  • Fully leveraging the value of cinch’s data, centering analytics around the; descriptive, diagnostic, predictive and prescriptive model in order to deliver critical Decision Intelligence that drives tangible, measurable business value.
  • Working closely alongside cinch’s wider Decision Intelligence teams, including; BI & Performance Reporting team, Data Engineering & ML Ops team, Digital Analytics & CRO team, Data Science team and other key stakeholders.
  • Owning the Customer Operations & Revenue data strategy and roadmap; ensuring the timely delivery of pro-active, impactful analytics.
  • Conducting regular reviews and data cleansing as necessary to ensure all data and reports are accurate, robust & reliable. Supporting in the identification of data quality issues in the cinch data warehouse to help drive use of accurate information by all business functions across cinch.
  • Staying abreast of industry trends and best practices in the use of data and advanced analytical methods.

The person

  • Demonstrable experience as a Senior Data Analyst or Data Analyst, with a track record of producing data-driven insights and recommendations to various stakeholders.
  • Prioritisation will be given to candidates who have experience in the fields of; Consumer lending / Finance & Insurance Products / Revenue generation & profitability analytics
  • Passionate about data analysis with strong analytical skills. Well-versed in being able to provide pro-active insights as well as data-informed recommendations to enact change.
  • Naturally inquisitive. You enjoy solving problems. Experienced at documenting your processes and explaining rationale to stand behind your recommendations.
  • Self-starter, can demonstrate & adopt a pro-active approach and take initiative with minimal supervision / guidance. Entrepreneurial mind set.
  • Strong communication skills (both written & oral). Compelling storyteller who can tailor their findings & recommendations to the intended audience(s), communicating them in succinct and inspiring ways in order to influence decision making.
  • Pro-active identification of new opportunities to leverage data for user and business advantage.
  • Experience with Python. Has an understanding of use of statistics & research designs to support with informing conclusions.
  • Demonstrable hands-on experience with business intelligence / data visualisation tools (preferably Power BI, but applicants with experience using other data visualisation tooling will be considered)
  • Experience with SQL in extracting data from source systems.
  • Intermediary to advanced Excel knowledge (V Lookup, pivot tables, macros).
  • Strong stakeholder management, able to work effectively both independently and as a member of a cross functional team
  • Contribute to improvements in processes (technical and business) to be used by all Data Analysts
  • Good time management – ability to balance multiple tasks, and switches priority / focus as needed.
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Advanced use of MS Office suite
